Live @ the Conservatory Concert Series is a wide-ranging, locally-produced, non-amplified music series that showcases the great acoustics in the restored Conservatory. Series co-sponsored by the Friends of Sunnyside Conservatory and SF Recreation + Park Department. Doors open one hour before concert. $15-22 SUGGESTED DONATION for performance. Refreshments available. Thank you to our wonderful musicians who are graciously donating their performances to benefit community programming at Sunnyside Conservatory. Listen in!

Our beloved almost annual free community Holiday Events always have a great turn out! Check out our beloved Bring-Your-Own-Pumpkin Carving, our unique Foliage Exchange + Wreath Making, and our past Valentine Card Making Parties and Winter Concerts. Workdays. Show the Conservatory some TLC under the supervision of RPD gardeners. Thanks to observant + loyal Friend Sally Ross for keeping an eye on the weeds and getting our workdays coordinated. Also, enjoy the eye-candy in front of the Conservatory. We are indebted to Friend Andrea O’Leary for the vision and determination to beautify and maintain the Conservatory Median.  Funding + Partners: DPW.

Backyard Sustainability Series. All that is old is new again. The Friends want to promote the ideals of sustainability in our own backyards: seed swaps, do-it-yourself gray water systems for your garden, growing backyard fruit trees and produce. Learning how to harvest the bounty of the backyard.

In the future, the Friends would like to have regularly-scheduled Open Octagon Days, for the public to enjoy the interior of the Conservatory building.
