Live @ the Conservatory Concerts

Live @ the Conservatory Concert Series is a wide-ranging, locally-produced, non-amplified music series that showcases the great acoustics in the restored Conservatory. Series co-sponsored by Friends of Sunnyside Conservatory and SF Recreation + Park Department. Doors open thirty minutes before concert. $10-22 SUGGESTED DONATION for performance, though no one turned away. Refreshments available. Thank you to our musicians who are donating their performances to benefit community programming at Sunnyside Conservatory. Listen in!

Music ranges from string quartet and quintets, to singer-songwriter, and even a vivacious jam by the Accordion Babes: Sweet Penny Royals, Renee de la Prade, Luz Gaxiola and Circus Finelli, Rhubarb Whiskey + Joan Wilson Reuter.

Their concert was a a don’t-miss event by women who take the traditional “Squeeze Box” instrument in unique ways (squeezeboxgoddess.com). Here’s a radio interview of Accordion Babe Roxanne Oliva talking with Co-Chair Arnold Levine on the Tommy’s Holiday Camp Radio Show.
